| I was really hoping to make this a bit of a surprise somehow but the mood is already spoiled so: The "teaser" thread I have a few posts below are actually for my Racing Hart Tracers which I got off of ebay like 3 weeks ago (took the guy 7 days to even ship them out).
Well I got the wheels yesterday and I couldn't open them because it was dark out.... and when I came home from school today I unpackaged them only to my dismay. The seller described these wheels as "not perfect given that they are USED however in very good condition. Polished lips are good . What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get." 1.) These wheels are not in very good condition at all
2.) The Polished lips are NOT good. One of the wheels' polished lip has a DENT in it and the rest all have major chips in them.
3.) One of the wheels were actually decent, the other 3 are not. From what I see, the majority of the pictures were taken on the decent wheel and payed no focus to the other ones. Therefore none of the mistakes could be made out and falsely led my ideas... On top of that, I even messaged the guy on ebay asking if there were any problems.
I asked "Is it only minor scratches and such that can be detailed out or are there any deeper scratches or dents?" and he replied " No deeper scratches or dents."
The Paint on the wheels are have quarter sized chips down to the metal, which from what I recall, are far worse than a scratch. Not to mention the lip has a FREAKING DENT on it.
Now of course I emailed the guy asking for a refund to assess these damages, but he balantly replied saying no because that's just how ebay is and I was the one who bidded the price up that far, not him... and "what I see in the pics is what I get."
Well the pictures were TINY and they were crappy CELL PHONE pics, and as I mentioned early focused on only the decent wheel...
But yeah, now I'm kinda in trouble. Just need your inputs... this guy is at fault right? What can I do to make him refund me atleast partially?
